Cross-docking means goods don't go into storage — they pass straight through the warehouse. Pick n' Pack receives pallets and parcels from European line-haul, unloads, scans and sorts, and moves everything onward the same day. Our location in Østfold, minutes from E6 and Svinesund, makes us a natural hub between the EU and Norway.

How cross-docking works at Pick n' Pack
You send a pre-advice with load list, ETA and onward instructions. We unload the truck, count against the manifest, scan per kolli and photograph exceptions. Everything is then staged on the outbound dock. You decide whether goods are picked up by your carrier, dispatched on our negotiated rates, or moved on a dedicated run we arrange — the last option is useful for heavy, fragile or oversized goods. Three warehouses — Fredrikstad, Berg and Strömstad
Cross-docking runs primarily out of Berg and Fredrikstad, while the EU base in Strömstad lets us consolidate goods on the Swedish side before customs — one partner coordinates the whole NO↔EU leg.

We do not provide a registered business address or virtual office — only physical receiving, transshipment and onward dispatch. We can also handle import and export customs clearance — prices are in the price list. We handle goods up to 240 cm; above that it is priced as general cargo. What's the difference between cross-docking and warehouse storage?+
Cross-docking is transit: goods arrive, are sorted, and leave the same day without going into storage. Warehouse storage means goods stay on our floor — days, weeks or months — until you need them picked or shipped. Many customers combine the two: cross-dock the fast-moving lanes, warehouse the slow ones.
What onward options do I have?+
Three: (1) your own nominated carrier picks up from our dock, (2) we dispatch on our negotiated rates with Bring, Posten, PostNord or DHL, (3) we arrange a dedicated run — useful for heavy, oversized, fragile or time-critical goods. You can mix per shipment.
Do you need advance notice?+
Yes — a digital pre-advice with load list, ETA and onward instructions per kolli or pallet. This lets us pre-book dock time and outbound capacity, and keeps same-day turnaround realistic.
