Can I use my own carrier?

Yes. Tell us who is transporting the goods and when. We coordinate the customs documents with that transport; warehouse and freight services can be added separately.

Does transit replace import clearance?

No. It allows goods to move under customs control to an agreed destination, where the transit must be completed and the next customs procedure arranged.

Do I need an EORI number?

Businesses involved in EU customs procedures generally need an EORI. Requirements depend on the role and procedure; private imports are treated differently. We check what your shipment needs.

Import and export fees include three goods lines per declaration. Duties, import VAT, freight and any transit guarantee are separate. We confirm the full scope and applicable VAT before starting.

Three common routes

EU → Norway

A supplier sends stock to Halden: arrange EU export and Norwegian import, then receiving or onward delivery.

Norway → Sweden / EU

Goods leave Halden for Strömstad or another EU destination: coordinate Norwegian export and EU import.

Through a country → final destination

Goods continue under transit to an agreed customs destination. Transit postpones clearance; it does not remove duties or VAT.
